There are two open positions for an Audiologist and a Hearing Aid Specialist.
The Dispensing Audiologist and HAS are dynamic positions responsible for quality patient hearing care in the office. Total compensation is $120K to start (meeting 100% of sales goals TBD) + other benefits (dependent on experiences).
Hearing Care:
Identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment including determining the appropriateness and benefit of amplification. Also, provides basic audiometric testing. The Dispensing Audiologist counsels patients regarding test results and reviews options that best meet their hearing care needs. Performs hearing aid testing, selection, and fitting to all populations. Reviews pricing and sale of hearing aids as a part of the patient education process.
Must be passionate about working with hearing technology and desire to improve lives and to provide hearing health solutions. You will be expected to improve proficiency with hearing aid dispensing and ongoing hearing aid management with electroacoustic analysis and real ear measurements.
Primary duties
- Establish rapport and gather history from patients, conduct audiometric testing and other diagnostic measurements, and make recommendations for hearing aids
- Provide counseling and care which delights the patients
- Make ear impressions and ear molds, order instruments
- Program hearing aids using a computer
- Fit hearing aids and assist with any adjustments, questions or problems
- Dispense accessories including batteries, special products, ALD'S, or any other product available through practice
- Report patient test results to originating referral source or appropriate staff member for tracking and documentation
- Maintain all clinical records and charts as specified by practice management
- Support clinic operations by conducting quality control analysis of incoming hearing aids and maintenance of test areas, equipment and supplies
- Achieve the clinical operational variables and the monthly and annual goals
- Maintain documentation and patient file

Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in hearing aid dispensing to include programmable hearing aids of major manufacturers.
- Reasonable problem-solving skills
- Strong keyboard/computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience.
- Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines.
- Requires the ability to deal with numerous interruptions.
- Must deal with customers in a caring and respectful manner.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients
- Must be able and willing to generate referrals from patients and physicians
- Must be able to problem solve and manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic independently
Education / Experience
Required:
- Doctorate of Audiology
- Licensed Audiologist in the state of Oregon or willing to obtain
- Related experience in private practice setting
- Or Hearing Instrument Specialist License in the state of Oregon or willing to obtain
Occupation Classification Requirements:
