October, 9, 2025. Rochester, NY. Caroline Solomon will be installed as the first woman president of RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Inauguration begins at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, with a procession including RIT leaders and faculty, and members of leadership and faculty from Gallaudet University and the University of Maryland.

A reception will follow in the Joseph F. and Helen C. Dyer Arts Center, across from the theater.
Address/directions: 52 Lomb Memorial Dr. Take Jefferson Road to the Lowenthal Road campus entrance. Lyndon Baines Johnson Hall is the building straight ahead. Park in L Lot to the left as you are facing the building. The theater is on the first floor to your right as you enter.
