Question

How can CaptionCall offer a complimentary phone and free captioning service?  What’s the catch?

Answer

CaptionCall is part of a federal program for people with hearing loss that was established as a provision of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The federal government compensates CaptionCall for providing the free captioning service. CaptionCall provides the phone at no cost so that all who qualify may participate.

Anyone who has mild, moderate or severe hearing loss may qualify for a complimentary phone and free captioning service – all that’s needed is a completed certification form from a hearing care practitioner, acknowledging they have a hearing loss and need CaptionCall to use the phone effectively. No costs are ever passed on to eligible patients.

In addition to the no-cost CaptionCall phone, CaptionCall offers free delivery, free installation, free in-home training and free on-going support.
