This course will review the evidence supporting the Evolv AI hearing aid family. The research presented will show how the Evolv AI technology contributes to an effortless fitting experience for the provider and an effortless listening experience for the hearing aid user. Several studies were completed at Starkey’s Global Headquarters in Eden Prairie with hearing aid users that explored various dimensions of the Evolv AI product line and capabilities, including REM Target Match, TeleHear, and Edge Mode. This presentation is designed to educate providers on the unique technologies and innovations of this latest evolution of Starkey hearing aids and demonstrate the key benefits and drivers towards an effortless hearing aid fitting and listening experience.

Lori Rakita joined Starkey Hearing Technologies in 2021. Dr. Rakita’s current position is that of Director of Clinical Research. Prior to Starkey, Dr. Rakita led research efforts in audiology and manufacturing settings. She has led teams in the execution of research activities, which include sponsored research studies, investigator-initiated studies, and marketing research. In her current position, she is responsible for the restructuring of the Research Department with respect to staff, infrastructure, and procedures.

Audiologist in the Education and Training Department
Luis Camacho, AuD, began working for Starkey Hearing Technologies in August 2000 as a Field Sales Representative. In that role, he supported Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky. In 2009, he joined the Education & Training Department as part of the field-training team. Current duties include leading training classes for Starkey staff and customers, development of training materials and overseeing Starkey’s Audiology Online and e-learning initiatives. In 1987, he received his BA in Telecommunications and Audio Engineering from Indiana University. He received his MA in Audiology from Indiana University in 1991. After graduate school, he worked as an audiologist for a neuro-otology practice in Indianapolis where his duties included clinical audiology, special testing, hearing aid dispensing, marketing and public relations. In October of 2013, he earned his AuD from A.T. Still University. Luis is married with three children and resides in Bloomington, Indiana.
