Dr. Ethan Platt is a clinical audiologist at ENT Specialties in Lincoln, NE, specializing in evidence-based, person-centered care including use of objective measures throughout the aural rehabilitation process, such as real-ear measurements and quantitative data. Outside of clinical work, Dr. Platt is currently serving as the chairman for the Inclusive Engagement committee of the American Academy of Audiology, a position he has held since 2024, as well as serving as a member of the Governance Council, Foundation Scholarship Review Task Force, and 2027 Featured Session Planning Subcommittee. He is also currently a primary writer and reviewer of the General Audiology Board Certification Development Task Force for the new board certification exam. Outside of work, Dr. Platt enjoys spending time with his partner and friends, hosting and attending board game nights, as well as travelling as much as possible.

Jennifer Phelan

Jennifer Phelan is the Clinic Director at the University of Massachusetts Center for Language, Speech, and Hearing and Clinical Associate Professor. These titles encompass who she is at heart, an audiologist and educator. Jennifer started as an elementary school teacher through Teach for America where she realized her ability to make a lasting impact. This experience cemented her desire to support community. This desire led her to pursue her clinical doctorate in audiology. As an audiologist, Jennifer continued her service by developing an inpatient audiology program and working alongside other healthcare professionals to provide care to medically complex children. Jennifer returned to academia as a clinical educator through her desire to bring her education background into her audiology career. For over a decade, Jennifer has worked at the university level to support graduate students and patients within the university clinic. Providing high-quality education alongside evidence-based hearing healthcare is the cornerstone of Jennifer's career.
