A patient can have medical emergency at any time, in any location. As a healthcare provider, it’s your responsibility– and your staff’s responsibility - to have an emergency action plan in place for such an event. This program will review the possible medical emergencies that could be encountered in an Audiology practice based on a recent survey by the author. Recommendations are made to expedite care for each emergency before first responders arrive. A list of emergency equipment to have on hand is also presented.
