She was a clinical audiologist at University Hospitals of Cleveland and served as Senior Lecturer at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine for over 15 years. Her presentations and publications include a historical chapter on the History of Hearing Aids, as well as her research teams work on the SIMEHD implantable device. Dr. Porath is a consultant to a charitable diagnostic and dispensing service in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras, which helped to progress to a financially self-sustaining service.
