- As a result of this continuing education activity, participants will be able to identify 5 evidence-based stimulus parameters and 5 evidence-based acquisition parameters for ABR measurement in infants and list 3 practical steps for minimizing ABR test time.
- As a result of this continuing education activity, participants will be able to describe concepts underlying chirp stimuli, define the role of click versus tone burst stimulation in infant ABR measurement and identify 3 advantages of chirp stimuli in infant ABR measurement.
- As a result of this continuing education activity, participants will be able to explain how to set-up clinical equipment to conduct brief-tone bone-conduction auditory brainstem testing in infants, estimate bone-conduction hearing thresholds in infants with normal hearing and hearing loss using bone-conduction auditory brainstem testing and explain how to isolate the test cochlea using bone-conduction brief-tone auditory brainstem testing.

James W. Hall III
James W. Hall III, PhD is an internationally recognized audiologist with 40-years of clinical, teaching, research, and administrative experience. He received his Ph.D. in audiology from Baylor College of Medicine under the direction of James Jerger. During his career, Dr. Hall has held clinical and academic audiology positions at major medical centers. Dr. Hall now holds appointments as Professor at Salus University and the University of Hawaii, and as Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria South Africa. Dr. Hall is the author of over 160 peer-reviewed journal articles, monographs, or book chapters, and nine textbooks including the 2014 Introduction to Audiology Today and the 2015 eHandbook of Auditory Evoked Responses.
