Within the framework of Self-Determination Theory, this presentation will discuss the topics and resources families value as being most important.

Director of Clinical Research and Professional Relations
Dave Gordey has been a pediatric audiologist for twenty-seven years. He spent thirteen years working in a pediatric clinic and hospital in Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Dave has taught audiology courses since 2008, working as a sessional professor at the University of British Columbia and York University. Currently, Dave is the director of pediatric research and audiology for Oticon A/S and lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dave’s current research projects include pediatric hearing aids, bimodal and bone conduction devices and children, unilateral hearing loss, and the social and emotional development of children with hearing loss.
