Question

How can I assist my pediatric patients in high-noise situations?

Answer

Sky Lumity’s new AutoSense Sky OS 5.0 and SmartSpeech Technology is built for pediatric patients who move between challenging noise environments.

AutoSense Sky OS is based on a history of machine learning and studies proving that children are not small adults. AutoSense Sky OS is the world’s only pediatric-specific design operating system that accurately analyzes a child’s listening environment ensuring better audibility and comfort in their varying listening environments.

Notable Sky Lumity Features Benefiting Children

We know that more than 90% of a child’s day is spent in background noise. With AutoSense Sky OS 5.0 analyzing the environment more than 700 times/second, in combination with SmartSpeech Technology, children are better able to hear when there is background noise, when it is quiet, and on the go.

StereoZoom 2.0 – provides the ability to hear and understand in the most challenging of environments. Example usage: a teenager is taking an order in a café surrounded by brewing coffee machines and the buzz of conversation by patrons. StereoZoom 2.0 allows them to focus on the conversation in front of them to better understand the order being placed.

Dynamic Noise Cancellation – next-level ability to hear in the most challenging of background noise and the ability to make real-time adjustments specific to the individual’s listening needs. Example usage: all high-noise situations. Imagine a young child struggling to hear their teacher in a noisy classroom filled with energetic classmates. With Dynamic Noise Cancellation, pediatric patients can focus on learning, as the technology filters out distracting background noise, allowing them to have the best chance to thrive academically and socially.

Speech Enhancer – allows for the audibility of soft speech. Example usage: child hearing their teacher speak one-on-one; conversation with a soft-spoken grandparent; the hushed voice of a secret being told by a friend.
