Clinical Assistant Professor of Audiology

Position:  The University of Illinois Department of Speech and Hearing Science (SHS) (http://shs.illinois.edu) is seeking to recruit an outstanding audiologist for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position as a Clinical Assistant Professor, with opportunity for advancement.

 

Proposed Starting Date: July 1, 2024.

 

Responsibilities:  Provide clinical supervision to Au.D. students, schedule/coordinate placements in-house and at external sites, and develop a clinical caseload of direct service. Responsibilities also include clinical instruction, contributing to teaching, program development, conducting clinical administrative tasks and departmental service. There are also opportunities to contribute to collaborative research.

 

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a terminal degree for clinical practice in Audiology, have certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), be eligible for an Illinois Audiology license, and has met the 2020 ASHA certification standards for providing clinical instruction and supervision by start date. Individuals with demonstrated interests in amplification, medical audiology, vestibular assessment and treatment, and/or auditory processing disorders are encouraged to apply. Additionally, individuals with an interest in teaching a diverse student body and serving diverse client populations are encouraged to apply.

 

Salary:  $78,000-85,000
