Weighing 1.4 grams including receiver and battery, the Marq's ergonomic design follows the shape of the ear and features transparent tubes that are almost invisible. Marq is the first RIE instrument to provide more gain in more frequencies to fit a wider range of hearing loss - while still fitting into most ear canals and being non-occluding. Insertion gain is increased because the receiver is placed within the canal close to the eardrum. There are no tubing resonance effects because the tubing holds the wire connection. The result is a smoother frequency response. Feedback is also reduced due to the separation of the microphone and the receiver. The superior acoustics of Beltone Marq are obtained by combining the advantages of RIE technology and Beltone's sophisticated digital signal processing algorithms, resulting in a true high-performance hearing solution. The Marq's Improved Adaptive Directionality and advanced noise reduction system also help the patient understand speech more clearly in a noisy environment. The combination of the Curvilinear Rapid Digital Signal Processing, Multi-channel MPO and Silencer allows the patient to experience a clean, natural sound, which provides truly transparent sound reproduction.
