Company Announces Launch of One! and Honors Distinguished Hearing Care Practitioners

Tucson, Arizona, May 2006— Each year hearing care practitioners from around the world gather at Beltone's Annual Meeting to share ideas, participate in educational seminars on new technologies, and learn about the company's newest products and services. Beltone held its 2006 Annual Meeting at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, Arizona from May 18 to May 20. The event was attended by over 600 members of the Beltone network, Beltone corporate staff as well as international guests from nine countries.

The highlight of this year's meeting was the introduction of new products One! and Linq. Featuring new technology that imitates the way the human auditory system works, the 17-channel One! and 9-channel Linq provide unsurpassed sound quality by constantly and seamlessly adapting to the patient's sound environment. Dispensers present at the meeting received an exclusive demonstration of these new state-of-the-art products.

Todd Murray, President, Beltone USA, congratulated all of the company's network members for their remarkable achievements and many distinguished dispensers were awarded for their efforts. Beltone's most prestigious annual award, the President's Cup, was given to the Hal, Linda and Michelle Hames of Florence, Alabama, for their exceptional patient care, community involvement and professional business practices. Hal and Linda Hames became Beltone business owners in 1988. Since then, their practice has grown to include four offices in the Florence, Alabama area. In 2001, they became a true 'family' practice when their daughter Michelle joined the team with a newly earned AuD degree.

Beltone also presented performance awards to other top practitioners from its offices throughout the U.S and internationally.

Founded in 1940, Chicago-based Beltone Electronics is part of the GN Hearing Care Group, utilizing advanced technology to produce hearing instruments sold in the United States, Canada and over 40 countries worldwide. In addition to providing outstanding service and support for its U.S. hearing care network operating in over 1,300 offices in North America, Beltone remains the most trusted brand for quality products and care among its patients and adults aged 50 and older.
