Tucson, Arizona, May 2006— Beltone proudly presented its prestigious President's Cup Award to Hal and Linda Hames, and their daughter, Michelle Hames, of Florence, Alabama, at its 2006 National Meeting held in Tucson, Arizona, May 18 to May 20. Since 1958, Beltone's highest honor, The President's Cup, is awarded annually to hearing care practitioners who demonstrate exceptional patient care, community involvement and professional business practices.

"We remain committed to recognizing extraordinary hearing care practitioners and helping our network members deliver the best patient care experience in the industry," said Todd Murray, President, Beltone USA. "This award recognizes those practitioners whose professionalism and care go well beyond their office and into the community."

Hal and Linda Hames became Beltone business owners in 1988. Since then, their practice has grown to include four offices in the Florence area. The Hames have been active in the International Hearing Society and remain enthusiastic contributors to the Beltone community, often volunteering their time to serve on councils, test new marketing programs and help with the release of new products.

In 2001, they became a true 'family' practice when their daughter Michelle joined the team with a newly earned AuD degree. "We plan to grow with Beltone as a family both personally and professionally," said Hal. "We believe in the Beltone philosophy: building respect, confidence and integrity in our products and offering the best possible service to our patients."

Beltone's National Meeting was held at The Westin La Paloma in Tucson, Arizona. The highlight of the meeting was the introduction of Beltone's newest products, One! And LinQ. The meeting also provided Beltone hearing care practitioners from across the country with the opportunity to share ideas and participate in educational seminars on new technologies.

In addition to the award presented to Hames family, Beltone also presented performance awards to other top practitioners from its offices throughout the U.S and internationally.

Founded in 1940, Chicago-based Beltone Electronics is part of the GN Hearing Care Group, utilizing advanced technology to produce hearing instruments sold in the United States, Canada and over 40 countries worldwide.
