Affordably priced hearing system combines modern technology and comfortable wear

May 18, 2011 - Minneapolis, MN - Hansaton USA announces the availability of its new CEMIA hearing instrument technology. The newest addition to Hansaton's family of hearing systems is offered in four designs including an ITE system, X-Mini, Mini or Slim. CEMIA provides users with all the benefits of multi-microphone technology, Hansaton's Active Feedback Block 2G and intelligent signal processing.

Each CEMIA design provides unique features to suit individual users' hearing and lifestyle needs:

CEMIA ITE hearing systems fit comfortably and securely in the ear - unique, virtually-invisible products, providing the perfect fit. The CEMIA in-the-ear system is available for mild to severe hearing loss in the CIC, Mini-Canal, Canal and Concha designs.

CEMIA X-Mini is a multiple award-winning receiver-in-the-canal system that is one of the smallest hearing systems in the world. Its elegant 2-color special paintwork makes it look smaller than similar hearing systems. With a choice of seven natural color shades, it matches skin or hair tones. A wide range of hearing loss can be covered by the CEMIA X-Mini, with an external receiver available in three power classes (45/55/65 dB).

CEMIA Mini hides modern technology that is connected to the ear canal via a barely visible transparent tube or the optional standard earhook and earmold. The award-winning design of the housing creates highlights with its wavy motif and is available in eight colors. The program buttons on the housing are particularly convenient. CEMIA Mini is suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss.

CEMIA Slim is an elegant option among BTE hearing systems when higher gain and output are required. With an interchangeable outer shell design, two-color special paintwork and eight natural shades, the ultra-slim housing offers much scope for individual preferences. A programmable rocker switch is a special feature and can be used as a volume control or program button. With i-com2 wireless communication as a standard in all BTEs, programming one rocker switch as a volume control and the other as a program button offers the benefit of having both features controlling both instruments. The Slim can be used with an earmold (or optional mini tube) for mild to severe hearing loss.

"The CEMIA hearing aid is remarkable in that it provides all the features we expect from Hansaton's advanced technology, while staying quite affordable," said Jerry Yanz, Director of Audiology for Hansaton USA. "Feedback is recognized and eliminated immediately, and the CEMIA multi-microphone technology greatly enhances speech recognition. Zero feedback, less noise and better speech recognition means that CEMIA users can concentrate fully on their conversations, even in a noisy environment."
