Staefa, July 9, 2015. The Hear the World Foundation, whose vision is to create a world in which every person has the chance to enjoy good hearing, is pleased to welcome the support of a new celebrity ambassador. Italian music star Eros Ramazzotti is now championing the cause of the non-profit foundation. As an ambassador, Eros has been photographed in the Hear the World pose by photographer and musician Bryan Adams. With one hand cupped behind the ear, this pose is synonymous with conscious hearing.

Eros RamazzottiEros Ramazzotti is one of Italy’s most successful musicians. His real breakthrough came in 1984 when he won first place in the “Newcomer” category at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song “Terra promessa,” which was subsequently released throughout Europe. This song was followed by a series of internationally acclaimed albums featuring a mixture of autobiographically inspired ballads and rock music. With worldwide hits such as Cose della Vita and Se Bastasse Una Bella Canzone and duets with superstars like Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Cher, Pavarotti and Anastacia, Eros has established himself as the world’s most popular Italian singer of our times, with strong record sales and sell out concerts from Russia to Australia, from Argentina to Germany. The Roman-born musician launched his 13th studio album, “Perfetto,” in May 2015, topping the iTunes chart in 13 countries and entering Top 20 in 38 countries.

“I can’t imagine living a single day without music, without hearing the voice of my wife, my children, and all those I love to hear. Yet there are countless people who are affected by hearing loss. It is important to help them and promote scientific advancements in this area, especially for the sake of the poorest of the poor,” explains Eros Ramazzotti, commenting on his commitment to the Hear the World Foundation.

In good company

By becoming an ambassador, Eros Ramazzotti is joining the ranks of more than 80 celebrities – including Sting, Kate Moss, and Diana Krall– who are supporting Hear the World and have had their photographs taken in the conscious hearing pose by Bryan Adams. (Photo credit & copyright: Bryan Adams).
