Dear Colleague,

You clicked, we listened: Some of you may remember the Audiology Online (AO) 3-Minute Survey that we conducted last summer. We requested, among other items, suggestions on the type of topics and presenters/writers you would like to see on our web site. I am pleased to announce that we took the results of that survey and used it to launch AO in a new editorial direction for 2006.

AO Contributing Editors for 2006: Using your input, we have assembled a group of outstanding researchers and clinicians to work with AO as contributing editors. We are so pleased to have these individuals working more closely with us and I am proud to present them to you by area of expertise:

Our contributing editors will be working with AO in three key areas: submitting feature articles, reviewing research news and presenting as a part of our Live Expert e-Seminars.

The first contribution was made by Patricia Kricos, Ph.D., with her article, Minimizing the Effects of Non-Audiological Variables on Hearing Aid Outcomes. Dr. Kricos does a phenomenal job in taking us "beyond the audiogram" and I think you will find the information quite useful. Stay tuned to our e-newsletters and the AO home page for upcoming details on the activities of our contributing editors.

We host over 80,000 user sessions every month on our web site and so we are always wanting to hear how we can make AO better for YOU. Thanks for reading!

Best regards,

Paul Dybala, Ph.D. - Audiologist
President & Editor-in-Chief, Audiology Online
