GN Otometrics Launches OTOsuite Audiometry

First-ever Software Interface for the MADSEN Itera II Audiometer

Schaumburg, Ill., February 2, 2007 - GN Otometrics, the world leader in hearing and balance diagnostic systems, has launched OTOsuite™ Audiometry, a software interface for its well-known MADSEN Itera II™ audiometer. The new software interface allows users to connect the previously stand alone solution to their PC, enabling new supporting features and enhanced on-screen view.

The Madsen Itera II can still be used as a free standing audiometer. The software package brings notable benefits to the diagnostic process. The manual recording of audiograms is replaced with electronic recording, making it easy to review, file and reuse diagnostic results in different contexts. The PC-connected MADSEN Itera II offers speech testing with a live VU-meter, speech scoring, and "smart" registration of test results. New features include a built-in Masking Assistant™ for high-quality testing and visual overlays for patient involvement. OTOsuite Audiometry is currently available with new MADSEN Itera II audiometers and as an upgrade package for solutions already in use.
