H.E.A.R. Founder/Director, Kathy Peck, Receives NAMM 'Believe in Music' 20 Year Achievement Award for Work in Hearing Conservation and Education

San Francisco, CA - February 1, 2008 - Kathy Peck, co-founder and executive director of H.E.A.R.®, was honored for her more than two decades of dedicated service to the music industry as a recipient of the "Believe In Music" twenty-year achievement award from the NAMM organization during the 2008 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. Peck's ongoing efforts promoting hearing education and safety reflect her commitment to helping those in need, as well as giving attention to the challenges facing the music industry and consumers, alike.

Working with only charitable donations and public contributions to fund her non-profit organization, Peck has gained the support of many of the industry's top performers, including music legends Pete Townsend, Herbie Hancock and many others. "I'm so grateful to be honored by Joe Lamond and everyone at NAMM. The real work is still ahead of us," responds Peck whose supporters also include businesses, manufacturers, vendors and educators.
