New Open Access Journal Launched to Bring Latest Research to Global Audience of Scientists

SAN DIEGO, CA— The American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery Foundation is pleased to announce that OTO Open, the Foundation’s new and official open access journal will be joining the Foundation’s premier journal, Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, both published by SAGE Publishing. OTO Open covers research on diseases and disorders affecting the ears, nose, throat, and related areas of the head and neck.

OTO Open covers a broad array of science, from medical conditions to communication, speech, and hearing problems,” said Editor In Chief John H. Krouse, MD, PhD, MBA. “We are pleased to work with SAGE Publishing to bring the latest research from the field to a global audience of scientists and clinicians in order to stimulate new ideas and innovative treatments.”

Topics covered by the gold open access journal include general otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, health policy and economics, laryngology and neurolaryngology, pediatric otolaryngology, sinonasal disorders, clinical techniques and technology, patient safety and quality improvement, reconstructive surgery, allergy and immunology, sleep medicine, thyroid and parathyroid, and more.

The multi-faceted journal publishes original research, clinical articles, case reports, commentaries, letters to the editor, reviews, and clinical photographs.
