Phonak Launches New Receivers with Dynamic FM Technology

Share:
Stäfa, Switzerland, 2nd April 2008 — At the 2008 AudiologyNOW! Conference in Charlotte, NC, Phonak will be unveiling the ML9i and ML11i Dynamic FM receivers. Together with the recently launched inspiro transmitter, the ML9i and ML11i receivers offer unprecedented speech understanding and user comfort. Phonak's new Dynamic FM platform enhances speech understanding in noisy situations to a degree previously thought impossible.

The successor to ML9S, ML9i is the design-integrated receiver for Phonak instruments such as Exélia, Savia Art, Eleva and eXtra. ML11i is the new, tiny, water-resistant, design-integrated receiver for the new Naída SuperPower hearing instrument.

Both the ML9i and ML11i receivers package all the benefits and features of the new Dynamic
FM platform:

  • Adaptive FM Advantage, which improves speech scores in noise by over 50%

  • Monitoring: a wireless check of receiver status

  • ChannelFinder: an easy protocol to find an interference-free channel
"We're on track to implement a new global FM standard for schools," explains Hans Mülder, audiologist at Phonak. "We expect that customers will be just as excited about these new receivers as they were about the first wave of Dynamic FM products - and the reception they got was rapturous."

The new Dynamic FM products are designed for use by children with hearing loss at home and kindergarten as well as in regular and special schools.

The ML9i and ML11i receivers will be available by late spring 2008.
