Eden Prairie, Minnesota (March 13, 2024) – Starkey is proud to announce its Chief Audiology Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Strategy, Dr. Sara Burdak, has been named the Gold Winner for Woman of the Year in the manufacturing category of the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. This global award program recognizes women executives for their innovative initiatives and outstanding leadership.
“Receiving this award is such an honor because I am passionate about supporting the professional growth of women,” said Dr. Burdak. “I am incredibly proud to oversee a predominantly female team of leaders at Starkey who keep me motivated to lead by example and strive for excellence every day.”
For over two decades, Dr. Burdak has worked tirelessly to deliver impactful programs to Starkey’s global customer base. She is responsible for developing and aligning Starkey’s global audiology strategy, as it relates to education and training programs, clinical research, and government services work. Bringing her clinical and educational background to the manufacturing space, Dr. Burdak has been able to pursue her passion for supporting the professional growth of women. Through her work with Starkey University, she also supports and encourages audiology students to pursue their dreams. In recognition of her impressive achievements, she has been named a Women MAKE Awards Honoree by the Manufacturing Institute, and a Notable Woman in STEM by Twin Cities Business Magazine over the past year.
