The Thrive Hearing Control app has been updated for a more helpful, seamless, and confident user experience. Edge Mode is now available in the top three technology tiers of Evolv AI, and an Edge Mode button has been added to the home screen of the app to make the feature easy to access. It puts the power of artificial intelligence at the patient's fingertips to optimize hearing in, particularly challenging environments. The Fall Alert feature has also been expanded across all technology tiers and styles of the Evolv AI 2.4 GHz wireless devices with enhanced accuracy, so now more people than ever will be able to benefit from this potentially lifesaving feature. And finally, the Thrive app now includes more intuitive language for easier understanding and use of the Wellness Score and the Fall Alert features.
Dr. Andrea Hannan Dawkes joined Starkey in 2010 as a member of the Education and Training team. In her current role as a senior member of the group, she assists in the development of educational materials, leads training classes, and serves as the liaison for Starkey’s university and student initiatives. Prior to joining Starkey, Dr. Hannan Dawkes worked as a clinical audiologist in a variety of prominent medical centers, served as an audiology clinical supervisor and adjunct faculty member at Hofstra University, and contributed to research efforts involving signal detection, hearing aid performance, and signal processing. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from the University of Maryland at College Park and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
