Director of Audiology at the Hearts for Hearing Foundation
Jace Wolfe, Ph.D., is the Director of Audiology at the Hearts for Hearing Foundation. He also is an adjunct Assistant Professor in the Audiology Department at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Salus University. He previously served as the editor for the American Speech Language Hearing Association’s Division 9 journal and is currently a co-editor for the Plural Publishing, Inc. Core Clinical Concept Series on Cochlear Implants. Dr. Wolfe is a member of the Better Hearing Institute’s Pediatric Advisory Board as well as the Audiology Advisory Boards for Cochlear Americas, Advanced Bionics, and the Phonak Hearing Aid Company. He is also serves on the Editorial Board of The Hearing Journal, and he is a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, Dr. Wolfe co-authors a periodic column entitled “The Tot Ten” in The Hearing Journal, and he has published numerous book chapters and articles in professional peer-reviewed and trade journals, and he is also a co-author of the textbook entitled “Programming Cochlear Implants, Second Edition.” His areas of interests are pediatric amplification and cochlear implantation, personal FM systems, and signal processing for children. He provides clinical services for children and adults with hearing loss and is also actively engaged in research in several areas pertaining to hearing aids, cochlear implants, hybrid cochlear implants, and personal FM systems.

Carol Flexer, PhD, FAAA, CCC-A, LSLS Cert. AVT is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Audiology at the University of Akron. An international lecturer and consultant in pediatric and educational audiology and author of more than 155 publications including 14 books, Dr. Flexer is a past president of the Educational Audiology Association, the American Academy of Audiology, and the AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language. For her research and advocacy for children with hearing loss, Dr. Flexer has received four prestigious awards: two from The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing -- the Volta Award and Professional of the Year Award; one from the American Academy of Audiology -- the 2012 Distinguished Achievement Award; and one from Kent State University -- The EHHS Hall of Fame Distinguished Alumni Award, 2015.

Jane Madell, PhD, FAAA, is a certified audiologist, speech-language pathologist, and LSLS auditory verbal therapist. Dr Madell was formerly the Director of the Hearing and Learning Center and Cochlear Implant Center at The Ear Institute, NYEE/Beth Israel Medical Center and Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include evaluation and management of hearing in infants and young children, including hearing aids, cochlear implants and RM systems, assessment of auditory function, and evaluation and management of auditory processing disorders. Dr Madell has published 7 books, numerous book chapters and journal articles. She writes the HearingandKids blog for www.HearingHealthMatters.org. She is the recipient of the AAA 2017 Marion Downs Award for Excellence in Pediatric Audiology. She presents at parent and professional meetings, nationally and internationally, on management of children with hearing loss, assessing technology, listening and spoken language, auditory processing disorders, and child and family support.
