The information was helpful for seeing patients in clinic. It was thorough and included assessment and treatment options. She provided tips along the way based on her experience. Dr. Johnson provided insight into other options for testing and treatment and was has worked best for her patients.

Dr. Marsha Johnson was extremely thorough with her teaching of this topic and brought to light the importance of testing LDLs on a regular basis, having compassion for those suffering from hyperacusis/tinnitus/misophonia and outlining the difference between these conditions. The lines can easily become blurred between hyperacusis and misophonia so this was much appreciated!

Very interesting topic. I routinely did LDLs or UCLs with my patient who had hearing loss who would benefit from amplification. I considered in important information and it saved time by already having it done. Always nice to see the things you did in clinical practice verified as appropriate and even recommended! I have never heard of doing LDLs with young children so this was very interesting to learn about.

It was VERY short on rehab and relied on referral to other rehab methods, ie TRT, for therapeutic guidelines. It did not differentiate hyper acoustics from misophonia/phonophobia or the differential diagnosis of these separate conditions and Jastreboff’s view on these two terns. Information was spoon fed, could have been quicker in less time.

The test questions were scored incorrectly. The first time i took the test an answer that I knew was correct was scored incorrect and a second question was scored incorrect that I also was sure was correct. The second time I took the test, the same answer I chose in the first test was now scored correct and the second question was replaced with another question. .

I almost didn't sign up for this webinar because I had attended others on the same topic. I am so glad that I did though. This presentation was so clear, especially the difference between hyperacusis and misophonia. She had an engaging manner and didn't just read her slides as so many other presenters do. I wish that she could have had more time for treatment options and to discuss her therapy with her patients and case histories with more of her patients. I am amazed that she has seen thousands and thousands of patients with this disorder. I do recognize that her practice is devoted to it though. I was also interested in her legal cases and role as an expert for trials. This presenter was the best that I have heard regarding this topic. And for her first time doing an Audiology Online presentation, she was amazing. Please bring her back for more!
