Studies have demonstrated variability of fittings for the same hearing loss across hearing instrument manufacturers. This course discusses how familiarity with input parameters and their impact on the target allows clinicians to quickly recognize and reconcile sources of variability and improve patient outcomes.

- Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to describe stimulus presentation and analysis variables and relate their significance in being able to achieve the prescribed target.
- Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to describe key fitting details and describe those settings that are most likely to result in disparities between the NAL or DSL target generated by the fitting software and probe microphone measurement system
