The services of a dispensing practice are sought out by patients who range in age, socioeconomic status, health condition and many other factors that can directly impacttheir health and that of those around them. It is imperative that the dispensing practice ensure the safety of all involved, both patients and staff alike in the prevention of the potential transmission of disease. As new harmful microbes arise and diseases thought to be eradicated return, the dispensing practice must be diligent in practicing proper and consistent infection control. This course will focus on the risk of infection control in the dispensing workplace as well as the development and implementation of an office infection control protocol.
