This course provides an introduction to the fitting flow and advanced features of the Ponto system in Genie Medical.

- After this course learners will be able to state the order of a typical Ponto 3 fitting using the recommended fitting flow.
- After this course learners will be able to evaluate the correct fitting mode(s) to use and describe the effect they have on the prescription settings.
- After this course learners will be able to sescribe the features and benefits of FreeFocus modes available in the Ponto 3 and when they are applied.
- After this course learners will be able to give examples of management strategies for audio feedback, using either physical alterations and/or modifying DFC settings.
- After this course learners will be able to indicate the advantages of undertaking BC in-situ measurements over conventional audiometry when fitting a BAHS device.

Barinder Samra, MSc
Barinder is a registered Clinical Scientist in Audiology, and completed his MSc in Audiological Sciences from the University of Southampton in 2009. He has extensive clinical experience in the assessment/fitting of hearing aids with both adult and paediatric patients, as well as diagnostic audio-vestibular testing. In addition, Barinder has worked for the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service, performing assessments of cochlear implant candidacy and device tuning for cochlear implant recipients. Barinder has recently started working for Oticon Medical as a Clinical Trainer, where he is primarily responsible for internal/external clinical training and support, for Bone Anchored Hearing Systems (BAHS).
