Hearing loops, as well as neckloops connected to FM or IR assistive listening devices - as mandated under the 2010 updated Americans with Disabilities law - greatly enhance the performance of hearing aids in meeting rooms, theatres and houses of worship, if the user has access to a telecoil (inside the hearing aid or accessory). This course will cover telecoil basics; how orientation and T-coil programming affects your clients in a hearing loop, how to order, program, verify and validate telecoils to improve fitting outcomes, and a brief overview on how you and your clients can foster loop installations in your community.
