  • primax star hearing aids now available in essential level and new price points for expanded patient access
  • Cellion primax lithium-ion rechargeable and Silk primax instant-fit CIC now available in essential performance levels
  • TeleCare 2.0, which enables remote support and adjustments from hearing care professionals through the patient’s myHearing App, now available for all primax star performance levels, including essentials

This summer Signia is excited to bring primax™ star technology to the essential level offering key industry-leading audiological benefits with remote control options, wireless connectivity, and TeleCare™ 2.0 for the best value in this segment. Hearing care professionals around the world are already choosing primax star for their patients because of its proven and uncompromised audiological benefits. Signia is extending primax star benefits to 2px and 1px essential performance level instruments, with core primax star features now available at every level from 7px down to 1px.

Popular features like primaxFit, which optimizes the fitting process and reduces the need for multiple adjustments and key elements of SpeechMaster, which delivers better hearing and speech understanding in any situation, are included in all technology levels.

Unique form factors available at the essential level

Signia’s most popular form factors, Ace™, Pure®, Motion®, and Insio™, are now available at the essential levels of 2px and 1px. In addition, Signia’s most unique products, including Silk™ with advanced instant-fit technology, and Cellion™, the lithium-ion, inductive-charging hearing aid, are now available in the essential performance level.

Silk 2px and 1px are nearly invisible, instant-fit hearing aids that provide discretion and comfort. The ideal form factor for first-time wearers, Silk is a unique offering that allows hearing care professionals to fit wearers with an in-the-ear device on the spot – no impressions or extra wait time for a custom-built instrument. Plus, for the first time hearing care professionals can demonstrate the physical comfort and binaural one-mic directionality of in-the-ear products.

Signia also brings Cellion all the way to the basic and essential levels with the addition of Cellion in 2px and 3px. Cellion is the choice for wearers who want the convenience of a hearing aid that never needs its batteries changed. Cellion is the only lithium-ion, rechargeable option from any manufacturer at the essential level that holds a charge for 24-hours even while streaming. In addition, Cellion does not require contact alignment while charging, and turns off and on automatically when placed in and taken out of the charger, making it perfect for wearers with dexterity and visual challenges.

Apps and accessory for easy remote control and discretion

The free downloadable touchControl™ App is now available in all technology levels, and allows wearers to discreetly control their hearing aids’ volume, treble, and programs directly from their smartphone. Those without a smartphone have the option of controlling their devices with the miniPocket™ accessory that fits discreetly on a keyring.

The myHearing™ App now links all primax hearing aid wearers to TeleCare 2.0, the industry’s leading remote hearing care portal. TeleCare connects hearing aid wearers and hearing care professionals for improved trial success. Guided assistance and daily lessons allow wearers to learn about their hearing aids, rate their daily satisfaction, and acclimate to their listening environments. Meanwhile, hearing care professionals can monitor their patients’ progress during their trial period, maintain direct contact with them, and provide advanced remote fine-tuning with the new four-band equalizer for the best possible outcome during the trial period.

Business Analytics added to TeleCare 2.0

New Business Analytics give hearing care professionals insight and transparency into patient satisfaction and their clinic’s performance. Hearing care professionals can now compare the success rate of their clinic to the market average and between clinics of a chain or multisite organization to optimize the trial process. The new performance indicators show the following vital data:

  • Duration of each trial
  • Success rate of trials
  • How many trials result in a sale
  • Average patient satisfaction
  • Market success average compared to their clinic

It is also possible to register chains for multi-clinic support. Multi-clinic chains also see:

  • Clinic averages
  • Comparison table of all clinics in chain

Custom hearing aid upgrades

Signia has upgraded its Insio primax custom hearing aids with innovations to improve wearer satisfaction. These include CanalGrip, a retention pattern print on the shell for low contour ear canals, and a new concha lock digitally modelled for straight or short ear canals. These new features improve wearer satisfaction by ensuring hearing aids stay in place comfortably and securely.
