This course will discuss how to successfully implement a multilayered marketing strategy to positively influence your practice. The truths and myths of digital marketing will be discussed, along with how to utilize segmentation, and how to implement the entrepreneurial operating system (EOS) to simplify the strategic planning process for the hearing healthcare practitioner.

Part 1 discussed how a decline in some elements of cognition and auditory processing alters speech perception during normal aging. This course considers how hearing aids may help or hinder speech perception for older adults. The author discusses how different hearing aid settings can affect the speech signal and consider practical ways we can use this in the clinic to offer the optimum fitting for an individual, in particular how we should set up hearing aid compression.

As tens of millions of Americans are living longer lives, longevity is creating challenges for everyone, including hearing healthcare providers and their manufacturing partners. Centered on the human need to connect with others, this course addresses three components of hearing care: 1.) the specific communication challenges of the normal-aging population, 2.) how hearing healthcare providers can more effectively address the communication and quality of life needs of this group by using three clinical tools that meet the A-B-C criteria, and 3.) how manufacturers can engineer devices that leverage recent findings on the dynamics of group conversations.

This course links the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) to clinical education in audiology, using broad theoretical principles. Participants are encouraged to consider their own contributions to SoTL, regardless of their workplace environment.

Noise is a prevalent concern in today’s world and presents a hazard for work, recreational activities and entertainment. High levels of noise can permanently damage hearing without properly used protective equipment. Hearing Loss attributable to noise is fully preventable when appropriate precautions are taken. This course will cover the danger of noise exposure, why delivering hearing conservation services is important for hearing professionals and the selection of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect from noise induced hearing loss.

This article aims to raise the awareness of the importance of the durability and reliability of hearing aids. It presents a survey, in which the durability, reliability and audiological performance of the Rexton Rugged hearing aids were assessed in real life.

We will take a deep dive into how accessories are more than just cool gadgets, they are tools that work in partnership with hearing aids to enhance hearing. Whether it’s television enjoyment, better communication in challenging listening environments or simple hearing aid control, accessories can provide benefit hearing aid wearers in many ways.

This course discusses various otologic diseases and how audiologists can participate in the care.

This course will review the Neuro features designed for cognitive assistance and highlight how best to utilize these features within Starkey hearing aids. It will discuss how to connect hearing aids to the app, access these specialty features, as well as highlight which features are available in which technology tiers.
