Clinicians will develop their ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues that may arise in the clinic with their Ponto 3 SuperPower patients, saving them time, developing confidence, and improving patient care.

This webinar will introduce a new testing resource from MED-EL that will help audiologists measure speech recognition through the implant and assess binaural listening skills, that can be completed quickly in a typical sound suite.

The variety of options for wireless connectivity to hearing aids will be reviewed. Transmission protocols will be compared with an emphasis on need for creating a “network” of connections to meet the communication demands of the user.

This course covers the need for forensic audiology as well as the role and expectations of a forensic audiologist as an expert witness for a legal case. An overview of the stages of a civil legal case is also discussed.

Chronic Otitis Media (COM) may contribute more than half of the global burden of hearing loss, but there is no global consensus on diagnostic and treatment guidelines for hearing loss due to the disease. Research suggests that bone conduction may be an effective and patient-preferred alternative to treating COM-related hearing loss versus hearing aids for many patients, providing consistent and reliable access to sound regardless of the disease cycle. Topics in this course will include background on the disease process, an introduction to bone conduction solutions, and expected outcomes of the intervention.
