I am looking to hire a full-time Hearing Aid Specialist for a four day work week with choice of either Monday or Friday off. Albemarle Hearing Center, LLC is an independent hearing aid practice, myself as sole owner, established May of 2007. My practice is a Starkey Hearing Alliance partner fitting instruments manufactured by Starkey Hearing Technologies. The main focus is to grow a profitable practice while providing a better quality of life to the hearing impaired with best in class hearing instruments. Staff consists of myself and a patient care coordinator. Current hours are 9am-12 Noon & 1pm-5pm daily Monday through Friday.
At Albemarle Hearing Center caring service is our priority, performing annual update testing, programming, and hearing aid maintenance for optimal hearing clarity. I find as business has grown, the heavy schedule of routine maintenance and annual update testing leaves little time to plan special events for patient growth, create ads, monthly bookkeeping, etc.
Requirements are:
NC State Dealers & Fitters License with a minimum of one year clinical fitting experience.
High School Diploma
Perform Hearing Tests - ear exams, medical history, AC, BC, MCL, UCL, SRT, & WR.
Perform ear impressions - new sales fittings or remakes for current patients if needed
Cerumen removal - during new test/fitting only for hearing instrument specialist per NC state law, no maintenance
Good communication skills - demo / fit new hearing aids, confident but no high pressure
Patient aftercare -
clean & dehumidify aids, programming, annual update testing
Neat, professional appearance - i.e. business dress or scrubs if desired
Warm, compassionate, caring attitude towards patients and staff
Provide your own laptop and otoscope.
The following equipment provided:
StarMed Video Otoscope with flat screen monitor, Harp Plus Audiometer calibrated annually by Starkey, Eartone insert earphones/ testing tips, Eckel sound booth, StarMed fitting modification station, AuraCare Dehumidifier & Vacuum system, speculums to fit most otoscope brands, two silicone impression guns, impression material, cannulas, cotton dams, otolight/accessories and ultrasonic machine to sanitize speculums, probes tips, etc.
Annual salary range is between $36,000 - $70,000 to be determined by level of experience. There will be a weekly straight salary offered for this position. Interviews through 05/20/24 or until position has been filled. I would like to have this position filled by 05/01/24. I am willing to train a new apprentice on a trial basis, salary to be discussed.
