Hearing Instrument Specialist – Winston-Salem, NC - $55,000-$60,000 (full-time)

A day in the life could involve:

  • Gathering patient history, building rapport, and establishing trusting relationships.
  • Audiometric testing, counseling patients, and making strong recommendations for hearing aids.
  • Making ear impressions, ear molds, and ordering instruments.
  • Programming, fitting, and providing appropriate follow-up care.
  • Maintaining documentation and patient files.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; prefer an AAS in Hearing Instrument Specialist
  • Current Hearing Instrument Specialist licensure as required by state law.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills.
