The current models in healthcare are ever-changing and often productivity-based. Insufficient resources can cause audiologists to cut corners in the services they provide to patients. One corner that is often cut is the functional auditory assessment; this presentation will provide the audiologist with tools needed to complete this important component of pediatric audiological care, and include ways to increase efficiency.

Tommy Evans, AuD, is a pediatric audiologist at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center (2004 - present), where he serves as the hearing aid program coordinator. Tommy received his MA and AuD degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and has special interests in pediatric amplification, outcome assessment, student development and quality/process improvement methodologies.
