Hearing loops, as well as neckloops connected to FM or IR assistive listening devices - as mandated under the 2010 updated Americans with Disabilities law - greatly enhance the performance of hearing aids in meeting rooms, theatres and houses of worship, if the user has access to a telecoil (inside the hearing aid or accessory).
