This course will focus on incorporating hearing aid trials into the hearing aid consultation process, based on data from a system-wide initiative to enhance the audiology patient experience at University Hospitals Medical Center. The data demonstrates how the utilization of trials prior to hearing aid purchase reduced the number of tested-not-fit patients, and elevated the first fit hearing aid experience. In addition, trials resulted in higher technology fittings, increased purchase rate, reduced return rates, and higher patient satisfaction.
